Test? Don't have enough credits to graduate? or Are you looking for a
low-cost, quality Home School Program? We can help!
The Program
Total Program Cost is $50 per month, for students with less than 22 credits.
Texas Learning Academy is a private Home School Program that does not require the TAKS Test. We require that a student has a total of 22 credits to graduate. Previously earned credits are transferable into the program.
Students with 22 credits can transfer in, and graduate! Students with less than 22 credits can transfer in, complete the required coursework, and graduate.
Students
age 14 and older will complete 6 quality credits per year. Once the
student has earned 22 credits, they are eligible for Graduation.
Assignments are due to be turned into Texas Learning Academy by the 1st of each month for evaluation.
The
Vision of Texas Learning Academy is to provide access to an affordable,
student-centered education at home, that will lead to our students
being successful now, and in life.
The Curriculum
At
Texas Learning Academy, we work with the parent and student to
construct a home school IEP (Individualized Education Plan) for each
student. For students lacking only a few credits to graduate, Credit Recovery Modules may be used.
We pride ourself on working with parents and students to individually
tailor the program to meet their needs.
Real World Experiences
Our
students also have the opportunity to participate in an
(optional) Internship Experience, a real-world internship performed by
the student in a field of interest. Participating in an internship will
allow students to garner experiences that will help prepare them for a
successful career. This is not required for Graduation. There is no
additional charge for participation in the Internship Experience.
Texas Learning Academy accepts students who reside outside of Texas as well.
